Naked Odyssey 2026

Inspired by participation in nude outdoor photo shoots for Spencer Tunick, Matt Granger and Natansky – some pre-organised, others guerilla-style – I resolved that, from 2016, impromptu naked photography would be a part of all my world travels…

I’ve been slow to start Naked Odyssey in 2026. Not for want of travel; in the first four months of the year I’ve visited Algeria, Türkiye, Canada and Spain. No, it’s simply that I have ceased being obsessive about it. I am happy now just to slow the pace, let be what will be, and if it happens, it happens. If not, so be it.

Under this new regime, it happened first in Liechtenstein and again on the other side of the River Rhine in Switzerland. I’d planned to visit both countries, with two-night stays in both Schaan and Bern, but no fewer than three flight cancellations necessitated extra nights in Saint-Louis, France and Zurich, Switzerland.

On this trip I took flights via Turkmenistan to Malaysia, where I travelled by bus from Kuala Lumpur down to Melaka and Muar, whiling a few days in each before heading onwards to Johor Bahru and crossing into Singapore. Not many Naked Odyssey opportunities, but I made these at Melaka on the Strait of Malacca.
